Aaron Lyons, C.C.E.D., B.A., M.A.

Aaron has actively worked in the fields of mediation, conflict transformation and restorative justice in New Zealand, the United States, and across Canada. Aaron provides training and mediation services to school districts, families, workplace organizations and within legal (court and prison) settings. Aaron has studied with the likes of Dr. Howard Zehr and practiced Family Group Conferencing within the world's first such systematized program in New Zealand. Aaron is a published author with ACResolution magazine. His zest and passion make him a natural for any conflict related work.

Catherine Bargen, B.A, M.A.

Catherine has been working across North America since 1999 as a consultant, trainer and facilitator in conflict management strategies. With energy and ingrained expertise Catherine has provided training and consultation to over 2000 youth and adults in various settings including schools, faith groups, Aboriginal communities, cross-cultural groups, non-profit organizations and government agencies. Catherine is the author of Educating for peacebuilding: Implementing restorative justice principles and practices in a school system. In addition, she has co-authored the internationally sought-after resource manuals Conversation Peace (2004) and Talking Peace (2007).  

Cheryl McRobbie

Cheryl has spent 20 plus years providing administrative support to clients and colleagues in both the private and public sectors. As the Administrative Controller at Turning Point Resolutions, Cheryl ensures all administrative details are addressed and quickly set aside so the team can remain focused on servicing clients. Her ability to put clients at ease coupled with her administrative expertise make her an asset as a key point of contact for clients.

Clare Connolly, C.P.C.C, A.C.C., B.A, C.R.C.

Clare is a facilitator and certified professional coach focusing on conflict resolution, communication skills, and leadership development. Clare helps our clients gain clarity on the goals they want to achieve for themselves and their team, and then assists them to align their goals with practical and realistic strategies to bring them to fruition. Clare has been successfully coaching individuals in municipalities, organizations, and various associations. She is on faculty at the Justice Institute of BC as a Conflict Resolution Coach, and also is a Conflict Resolution Instructor for the City of Surrey.  

Donald Altman, M.A., L.P.C.

Donald is a Psychotherapist, award-winning writer, former Buddhist monk, an adjunct professor at Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling, and a faculty member of the Interpersonal Neurobiology program at Portland State University.

Donald has authored several pioneering books on mindfulness, including the Mindfulness Code, Living Kindness and One Minute Mindfulness. In addition to his books, Donald has been a staff writer for an EMMY-Award winning children's television (The Magic Door, CBS Chicago), won an American Medical Writer's Association Award, co-created the first interactive comic strip on America Online, and has had articles appear in New Age Journal, The Los Angeles Times, and Independent Business Magazine, among others. Donald serves on the Board of Directors for the Centre for Mindful Eating and is a key member of Turning Point Resolutions' Advisory Group, adding excellence to service delivery.

Lydia Rozendal, M.A., R.C.C.

Lydia has been working in the field of mental health and emotional wellness for the last 30 years as a Clinical Psychologist. Lydia has worked in Isreal, South Africa and Canada. She uses talk therapy, EMDR (eye movement desentisation and re-processing) and yoga therapy. Lydia supports clients to heal from traumatic events and lingering responses to these events such as anxiety, depression and chronic pain. Lydia's expertise extends to assisting clients to deal with family issues and transitional milestones such as losses through divorce, death, sickness, "empty nest", retirement and immigration. Lydia's genuine, compassionate and guided approach provides our clients with a positive and productive experience.

Sandy Huang, B.Comm, M.B.A.

Sandy's talent for solving business challenges makes her an asset to any operation, including ours. Her extensive business knowledge, willingness to think outside the box, and ability to adapt quickly to new situations enables her to provide expert guidance to businesses to assist them in effectively managing the challenges of organizational change. Sandy provides support extending from marketing through to strategic planning allowing fluid client movement through change to growth. As a strong community supporter Sandy sits on the board of the Burnaby Counselling Group, teaches at the Eastside Movement for Business and Economic Renewal Society, and writes regularly for Small Business BC, Women's Enterprise Centre and the Vancouver Observer.

Tasha Johal, M.A. (in progress)

Tasha brings a fresh and focused approach to Turning Point Resolutions as an Assistant Research Analyst. Tasha works dilligently to ensure our training courses and resources are grounded in the most current and credible research in the field of conflict resolution. Her creativity, analytical skills, and openness to new theories and concepts ensures our clients are exposed to cutting edge ideas and sound applications.
